The Outcomes
OMATA demonstrates my ability to carry a company across the full stack of founder responsibilities: invention, product and industrial design, systems thinking, software, hardware development, manufacturing, and commercialization. What began as a speculative concept became a shipped product used by riders around the world and culminated in a successful sale of the company in 2022.
OMATA is the product company I founded and led from concept to successful sale. Its flagship product, the OMATA One, rethought the cycling computer as an object of industrial design as much as an instrument: a hybrid analog-digital device that combined the glanceable clarity of a mechanical gauge with GPS, Bluetooth, connected sensors, and companion software.
My role spanned the entire arc of the company. I built the first working prototypes, set the product and industrial design direction, defined the system architecture, wrote the iOS app, and supervised engineering and manufacturing as the product moved from early proof-of-concept to production. In parallel, I developed the brand, shaped the market narrative, and carried the company through the long operational work required to turn a distinctive hardware idea into a durable business.
OMATA is representative of my professional competence at full founder scale: not just conceiving a compelling product, but sustaining the interdisciplinary work required to ship it, grow it, and bring it to a successful exit.
