Near Future Laboratory Podcast Episode 089
Episode 089 of the Near Future Laboratory Podcast is an in-depth conversation with guest Silvio Lorusso, a designer, artist, and writer based in Lisbon.

Our discussion centered around the complex relationship between design, disillusionment, and the evolving role of design in society.

My main motivation to do this episode was to talk with the guy who wrote this book — 'What Design Can't Do' — Silvio's book that dropped last year, an extended, witty, illustrated polemic on the rhetorical expectations placed upon design, and the burden of such carried by designers.
While I've got you here, I just want to mention that orders from The Shop that are shipped outside of the USA will ship from within the EU!

If VAT concerns are on your mind know that within the EUAA or whatever tax island that is, well — that is the case. (Also, as powerful as you may think I am, I cannot remove the taxes imposed by The State, unfortunately. Please do not ask. I think that makes me an accessory to tax fraud? Accept that, just like a few other things, taxes are inevitable.)

So — have a look around! 👇🏽
