Blogjects Workshop
Blogjects Workshop

These are skeletal notes and inscription ephemera from a Lift06 pre-conference workshop on the topic of objects, things, networks, pervasive media — all cobbled together under the neologism “Blogjects” — objects that blog. Details and a write-up are imminent!

I’d say the workshop was an unqualified success. Here’s my presentation as a PDF of the Keynote slides with notes, and here is a (28.6MB) MP3 of me speaking while showing those slides.

Audio of the four workshop project presentations is available.

Jean-Baptise Labrune has put up some of his notes from the workshop on his wiki.

Aram Armstrong has posted his video from the workshop.

Some photos from the workshop are collated here.

Here are shots of the workshop posters from the four groups:

The image shows a hand-drawn sketch of a street layout with labeled concepts related to blogging and information sharing.
The image depicts a hand-drawn storyboard illustrating a day in the life of a camera, detailing its features and functions.
The image is a hand-drawn mind map featuring concepts related to workplace dynamics, data privacy, and object-oriented programming.
The image shows a handwritten diagram outlining concepts related to a card-based game called Blogemony, including themes like user interaction, persistence, and game goals.

Nicolas and I will be collating the material from the workshop into a report soon.

Prepare for a near-future follow-on workshop on Blogjects, Things, and Spimes.
